Tom is a 1975 graduate of Central Michigan University and did media relations and publications work for his alma mater before joining the MSU team in 1986. Prior to his CMU work, Tom worked in broadcast news and was a reporter/editor for United Press International. A nearly 30-year media relations veteran, Tom covers science, engineering, communication arts, and university administration.
