CABS offers workshops to give MSU academics the foundations needed to communicate research and scholarly work in a succinct and public manner, as well as providing tools and hands-on exercises to help refine communications skills.

An Introduction to Public Communication. The workshop provides a broad overview of the foundations needed to communicate your research and scholarly work in a succinct and public manner, as well as providing tools and exercises to help refine your communications skills.

Your Online Presence. This workshop will demonstrate the value of having an online presence, walk you through the beginning steps of designing a professional website, and discuss how to use social media in an academic world.

Communicating Complicated Stuff - A Writing Workshop. This hands-on writing workshop helps academics translate their research for a general interest audience. Participants will learn written and verbal techniques for simplifying, clarifying, translating and communicating complicated topics.

Media Training. The workshop will provide academics with techniques and tips for doing media interviews, and will include an interview practice session.
